KEYARAH WATSON

Keyarah is the Social Media Manager at the Mayor's Office of Employment Development. She manages 10 accounts across 10 unique agency brands including YouthWorks, which places 8,000 city youth in paid summer jobs each year. She joined MOED because she is passionate about technology, economic justice and the power of social voice.

After a few years in Technology Consulting for media clients including Google, Verizon and Comcast, Keyarah decided to jump head first into media. She joined Baltimore's ABC station in 2019 and quickly found herself covering riveting crime and political stories in one of the nation's most storied cities.

A Delaware native, Keyarah Watson graduated from University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Management Information Systems and special interests in Women's Studies and Black American Studies.​

One of Keyarah's favorite quotes is: "You can't be what you can't see" by Marian Wright Edelman. She is very passionate about the intersection of media and inclusion. Culture and inclusion are pillars in the content she produces.

Keyarah's primary goal is to move media forward.
